Job Description

Provision of technical support primarily to a business unit mainly handling renewable energy. Additionally, supporting the various business units within our Client and sponsored companies.

  • Production and checking of open market slips, lineslips and binding authorities and associated endorsements.

  • Drafting new and reviewing existing wordings and drafting amendments.

  • Process, premiums and periodic accounts on IBS and Sector systems.

  • Preparation of Premium Advice Notes (LPANs), closings and closing endorsements.

  • Premium submissions via Xchanging for bulk closings and facultative business

  • Maintaining systems, including statistics, and tracking workflow.

  • Reconciliations, accounting queries and credit control.

  • Ensure computer records are correctly maintained and completed.

  • Ensure compliance at a technical level with current rules, regulations and procedures.

  • Assist with resolving queries by liaising with clients, insurers and Xchanging.

  • Provision of Technical support and guidance to all business units and assist in the development of Technical processes and documentation.

  • Profit commission calculations.

  • General Technical duties as required.

  • Understanding of wordings in general and ability to amend as required.

  • Be flexible and complete tasks within required timeframes.

  • High level attention to detail and accuracy.

  • High level numerical ability.

  • Strong computer literacy including Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • Competent use of London market software. (knowledge of

  • SSP Sector or GPM IBS would be an advantage)

  • Extensive knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements including Lloyd’s and FCA.

  • Good understanding of commercial business and ideally knowledge and experience in Consumer business

  • Good working knowledge and understanding of Lloyds and London Market processes, including those of XIS and associated resources such Crystal.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of Insurance and Reinsurance Technical processing.

  • ‘A’ level or equivalent standard

  • Lloyd’s and London Market knowledge and experience essential
