Job Description

Our Client is a London Market Insurance Broker who operates across a number of lines of business. They are looking for someone who has the ability to work under pressure, taking in and fully understanding information quickly, while maintaining attention to detail. The successful candidate will need to be driven, proactive and self-motivated with the ability to use one’s own initiative with a focused and logical approach to tasks.

The role requires strong, verbal and written communication skills, must be approachable, have excellent organisational skills and a willingness to find solutions. Must be able to attend internal and external meetings understanding that everyone has a duty to drive business performance. You will support the firm in the conducting of various different regulatory responsibilities of the firm to include, compliance monitoring, providing compliance advice, financial crime and licensing. You will be supported in this by a Compliance Director.

In order to succeed you will need to have extensive compliance experience within the general insurance markets across compliance monitoring, advisory and financial crime areas. Lloyd's Market experience is a plus but not necessary. You must also be able to effectively communicate the current regulatory landscape to internal stakeholders in a manageable and digestible format.

Main tasks of Job:

  • Produce and agree Terms of Business Agreement on behalf of Client’s, Third Parties and Underwriters.

  • Complete MRSL security forms on behalf of Client’s, Third Parties and Underwriters.

  • Produce Intermediary Questionnaires on behalf of Clients.

  • Manage MRSL ‘s regulatory requirements in respect of Market and Internal requirements with the FCA.

  • Manage and Review MRSL Operators Procedures Manual, Conflict of Interest Policy, Treating Customers Fairly Audit, Risk Assessment, Bribery Act, Fraud Policy and Business Continuity Plan.

  • Manage and Review MRSL Internal Audit processes.

  • Manage and Assist with the completion of MRSL’s RMAR and Griffin Management Review.
